The Joyful Experience of Balinese Massage

Balinese massage is a traditional therapy originating from my beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. Bali is famous for its wellness and spa offerings, which include yoga and meditation, healthy cuisine, and of course traditional Balinese massage!

So, what is Balinese massage?

Balinese massage (which is different to Thai massage) uses a combination of gentle stretching and pressure points to activate the body’s energy flow and stimulate the energy qi. It’s like Ayurveda, as both are based on traditional medicine practices originating from India. Various islands surrounding Indonesia have developed their own interpretation of this healing art, resulting in various techniques like Sasak, Lombok, and Urat, which are all referred to as Balinese.

Balinese massage also uses essential oils and deep tissue techniques to help with relaxation, improved circulation, and better overall health (if performed regularly and in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle). It can help with various physical and mental issues such as sleep disorders, migraines, depression, muscle pain and even infertility. The essential oils mentioned above play a crucial role in Balinese massage. While you can use any oil of your choice, it is suggested to use an essential oil with a touch of lemongrass, ginger, jasmine, or frangipani, to enhance the entire experience. You should try and let the essential oils soak into your skin after the session, but it’s not a requirement.

As stress levels are high due to current economic conditions, my Balinese massage is a great choice for anyone out there in Dublin seeking peace and well-being.  As a traditional Balinese massage therapist, I am proud to offer this ancient healing art and invite you to come and experience its blissful effects in my tranquil room and allow me the  honour of helping you to rejuvenate both your mind and body.
